Getting kids involved in aviation -- that's the goal of the EAA's Young Eagles program. Our local flying community is lucky to have a well-established Young Eagles program, conducted under the auspices of of the Youth Exploring Aviation (YEA) Academy program at the Vintage Wings and Wheels Museum located at Poplar Grove Airport. Part of the YEA experience is a flight in an airplane. Many of our members contribute their time and effort to this wonderful program. There are few more rewarding experiences than seeing the gleam in a child's eye after a half-hour in the sky. Contact Dennis Blunt for details on how you can get involved in the YEA program.
